Sundisk

I produced this with my friend Don Livingston for performance with Jon Anderson, the Nevada Symphony Orchestra of Jon and Vangelis's "Italian Song" In November of 1992, we created a video for "The Grand Scientific Musical Theatre," a pioneering multimedia concert and fundraising event held at the UNLV Thomas N. Mack Center in Las Vegas (as part of Comdex/Fall, the computer industry's largest trade show) to benefit The National Center For Missing & Exploited Children. I was asked by Jon, of the Rock Super Group "Yes" to create an animation based on an obscure ancient text on universal sun worship. 3D was brand new then and it so happened when I agreed to produce the video I had no idea how I would do it. I went back to my seat at the Jon and Kitaro concert where my wife had been talking to a man sitting next to us, the owner of Crystal Graphics. After a few minutes he agreed to funding the production, using his just finished network rendering tool that after finishing my stor! yboards in a few days and consulting with his animator (Don) we were able to render and finish post production within 3 short weeks. The performances produced live as well as audio/video/film-recorded performances by a wide variety of entertainers, including: the Cirque de Soleil, Todd Rundgren, producer Alan Parsons (The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Alan Parsons Project), The Turtles (AKA Flo & Eddie - Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan), Jon Anderson (lead vocalist/songwriter from British art-rock-classical ...
