The 19th episode of Nickel City Chef took place at Artisan Kitchens & Baths. It saw Challenging Chef Christopher Daigler of Encore take on Nickel City Chef Adam Goetz of Sample in a culinary battle featuring local beef from O'Brien's Smokehouse, located in Hamburg, NY. The chefs had dry-aged rib eye steaks, ground beef, and peppered jerky to work with. Judges for the day included Alan Bedenko, food writer for Buffalo Spree magazine, Mary Luz Mejia, a Toronto-based food writer and television producer, and Kristen Becker, Buffalo's best comedian.
